Podcast Editing Service UK

Your podcast should sound like you mean business.

Most businesses investing in a podcast are one bad-sounding episode away from losing a listener for good. I edit, clean and deliver broadcast-ready episodes with a mixing engineer's ear behind every one.

The problem with most podcast editing services

There are dozens of platforms that will edit your podcast for a flat monthly fee. They're fast, they're cheap and the result sounds a lot like no one actually listened to it.

Your podcast represents your brand. The quality of the audio is the quality of your business, whether you intend it to be or not.

At Framed Audio, every episode is handled personally by me. I listen to it, I fix what needs fixing and I deliver something you'd be proud to put your name on.

Episode editing

Tightening the structure, removing dead air, false starts, excessive filler and anything that loses the listener. I’ll keep it feeling natural and turn it into the best version of itself.

Audio repair and cleanup

I can deal with background noise, room echo, electrical hum, inconsistent levels between guests, you name it. This is treated as standard on every episode not an extra.

Levelling and loudness mastering

Every episode delivered at the correct loudness standard for Spotify, Apple Podcasts and YouTube. I will provide a loud version for internal communications and social media.

Audio repair included as standard

This is the thing most editing services don't offer and can't do well.

Background noise, room echo, a guest recorded on a laptop mic, a Zoom call that sounds like it's coming through a drainpipe. Automated tools and generic podcast editing don’t fix these.

Because I'm a mixing engineer with 20 years of experience, audio repair isn't an add-on. It's built into everything I do. I’m not just fixing the audio, it’s getting finessed.

Who I work with

  • Businesses running branded or thought leadership podcasts.

  • Marketing teams producing regular content without an in-house audio engineer.

  • Agencies managing podcast production for clients who need a reliable editor they can trust.

  • Video editors and creative teams who need the audio to match the standard of the visuals.

  • If you're publishing more than one episode a month and audio quality matters to your brand, this service is for you.

How it works

Step 1

Send me an episode. I'll assess it and come back to you with a clear scope and turnaround.

Step 2

I edit, repair, mix and deliver broadcast-ready files in the format you need.

Step 3

If you have any tweaks we can make revisions until you’re happy.

You speak directly with me throughout. No account managers, no junior editors.

Your listeners are on the move

They're on the train, on the motorway, on a run. They're not sitting in a quiet room with good headphones giving your podcast the benefit of the doubt. When the audio is hard to follow, they switch off and they don't come back.

Good audio editing isn't about sounding perfect. It's about making sure nothing gets in the way of what you're saying.

Frequently asked questions

Do you work with all podcast formats?

Yes; solo shows, co-hosted, remote interviews, panel discussions. If it was recorded, I can edit it.

What files do I need to send?

Raw WAV or MP3 files from each participant recorded separately gives me the most to work with. Zoom or Teams recordings are fine too, I can work with what you have.

How long does an episode take to turn around?

Typically 24–48 hours for a standard episode. If you're on a tight schedule, just say so upfront and I'll factor it in.

Can you handle a back catalogue?

Yes. If you have existing episodes that need bringing up to standard I can work through them in batches.

Do you offer ongoing retainer packages?

Yes. If you're publishing regularly, a monthly retainer is often the most cost-effective option. Get in touch and we'll work out what makes sense for your output.

What makes you different from a platform like Alitu or Descript?

Those tools process audio automatically. They don't listen to your episode, they don't know what your brand sounds like, and they can't fix a guest who recorded next to an air conditioning unit. I can.

Can you help us avoid common problems in future?

Yes. If you want advice on recording better audio in-house I’m happy to help. Microphone choice, room setup, recording chain — I offer consultancy alongside the repair work. One conversation often saves significant time going forward. If you are looking for more significant support I can arrange training workshops for your team and offer retainer programmes for peace of mind.
